What is the guide tape filled with bronze?
Kintowe’s PTFE filled with bronze guide tape/guide ring is used for supporting and guiding the piston and piston rod in reciprocating hydraulic cylinder.
Guide tape is one of the sealing products, which plays a guiding role in order to prevent the wear of cylinder and piston rod. With the increase of temperature, PTFE material can withstand the surface load will decrease, its bearing capacity actually depends on the operating temperature, generally speaking, it should not exceed 200℃.
Pre-cut guide rings will leave a certain gap "Z" after installation, which is based on the following considerations:
1. Under the influence of temperature, the guide ring has a certain linear expansion;
2. Avoid stress.
Type of guide tape:
1. cut gap tape
We can supply rolled guide tape and pre-cut guide ring.
Bias cut is the standard form. Straight cut and Z cut should be customized.
2. No chamfering is the standard form. We can provide chamfered edges. This design prevents interference between the product and the groove fillet and facilitates installation. Please specify when ordering chamfered edges.
3. Embossed structure is on the sliding surface of the tape with tiny lubrication pits, which is conducive to the formation of lubrication film, improve microscopic lubrication, and help to embed small foreign bodies, protect the sealing system. Since the guide tape can be used for holes and shafts, it is usually made into double-sided embossing.
