In hydraulic cylinders the most commonly used guides are guide rings and guide strips. They accommodate radial loads of forces acting on the cylinder assembly and guide the rod in the cylinder head as well as the piston in the cylinder bore.

Our rod guide rings are made from round phenolic resin tubes, which is based on modified phenolic resin reinforced with ultra strong special fiber, added with solid lubricants, processed under certain temperature and pressure. Compare to other fiber-reinforced (cotton fiber, polyester fiber, polyamide fiber and so on) phenolic products, this material has the largest compressive strength, it is suitable used as back-up rings for mine, coal machinery and equipment.

Kintowe rod guide rings are precision machined according to tight tolerance specifications on the radial section of the guide. Therefore, they optimize guide load distribution and limit radial misalignment of components for best seal performance.
